Tillers can be used on construction jobs to cover walls and floors in tiles ranging from tiling bathrooms to fitting out shops. If you gain enough years of experience then perhaps you would be able to become a self-employed tiler. When you start out as a tiler your salary will range from £11,500 to £16,000 a year, with qualifications it could rise to £17,500 to £22,000 a year. To become a tiler there are no set requirements, but future employers tend to look for people with some on-site experience. All around the country there are tiling courses available for a certain period of weeks, which will allow you to gain qualifications, making it more easier to join a tiling company. However if you do not wish to start a tiling course then you may want to consider working as a labourer to gain site experience, once you start working, your employer may be willing to offer you training in tiling.
