When you start out as a tiler your salary will range from £11,500 to £16,000 a year, with qualifications it could rise to £17,500 to £22,000 a year. To become a tiler there are no set requirements, but future employers tend to look for people with some on-site experience. All around the country there are tiling courses available for a certain period of weeks, which will allow you to gain qualifications, making it more easier to join a tiling company. However if you do not wish to start a tiling course then you may want to consider working as a labourer to gain site experience, once you start working, your employer may be willing to offer you training in tiling.
